(Le Mars) — People were standing in line this morning at 8:00 a.m. waiting for their opportunity to purchase Le Mars Chamber of Commerce Holiday dollars. Mary Reynolds of the Le Mars Chamber of Commerce says sales of the holiday dollars went well this morning, but people still have an opportunity to purchase Le Mars Chamber holiday dollars.

Reynolds says initially, the Chamber placed a limit on the amount that could be purchased, but she says people have returned a second time to take advantage of the shopper’s savings.

People can save 10 percent on the Hy-Vee, Fareway, and Wal-mat dollars, and a total of 15 percent can be saved with the retail and restaurant categories. Scott Pagler with the Chamber promotions committee explains which businesses are participating in this year’s Chamber holiday dollar promotion.

People interested in purchasing the Chamber dollars, but were not able to attend this morning’s sale held at the lower level of the Le Mars Convention Center can stop by the Chamber office at 50 Central Avenue during normal business hours Monday through Friday.
