(Le Mars) — Alumni students of the former Westmar College will be holding a reunion this weekend in Le Mars. The reunion is focusing on the students of the 1980’s, plus those students who were part of the Madrigal singers. Jeff Neary is an alum of the former college that was once a part of Le Mars. Neary, who now serves as a District judge says Madrigal singers of all decades are welcome to attend the reunion.
Neary says the weekend reunion agenda begins with a social hour scheduled for Friday evening.
The Westmar alum says the Madrigal concert is free of charge, and open to the public. Since the time of Westmar College’s closure, Neary says former students, who return to Le Mars, often reminisce about their memories of the former Methodist Church affiliated school. He says a common topic of discussion is how the remaining buildings are being utilized today.
