(Hinton) — Two people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident that happened on the northbound lanes of U-S Highway 75 between Hinton
and Merrill. The accident happened shortly after 12:50 p.m. According to Plymouth County Sheriff’s deputies, they believe the injuries were non life-threatening. One of the vehicles involved was a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck that sustained extensive damage to its front end. The Hinton Fire and Rescue
Department, Hinton Ambulance, Merrill Fire and Rescue Department, Merrill Ambulance, Hinton Police, and the Le Mars Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. Officials were able to keep the northbound traffic moving on Highway 75, although one lane was blocked for approximately a half and hour due to the accident. The accident is being investigated by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office.
