STATE 1A SINGLES & DOUBLES TOURNAMENT AT IOWA CITY
Singles — Elizabeth Ihrke of Le Mars lost to Audrey Hinz of Dubuque Wahlert 0-6, 3-6 in first round action.  Ihrke won her first consolation match 6-4, 6-0 over the number-three seed, Sarah Wood of Shenandoah before losing 4-6, 2-6 to Jacqualine Ingram of Denison-Schleswig in the second round of consolation play and her stay at the State tournament ended for this year.
