(Le Mars) — If you have an interest in collecting toys and other
collectible items, then you will want to stop at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds at Century Hall today for the annual Town and Country Toy Show.
Dave Lehner is one of the organizers of the event and explains what is featured at this year’s toy show.
Lehner says the toy show has attracted eight different vendors from Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota. He offers an explanation as to the attraction of collecting toys.
Some of the featured toys at today’s show are “gold plated” or even have intricate detail, which according to Lehner helps increase the value, and
makes the toy item that much more desirable as a collectible item. The show continues through the afternoon with the auction to begin at 5:00 p.m.
Lehner says the Town and Country Toy Club have sponsored the toy show since 1986.
