(Le Mars) — More than 200 people took advantage of the Floyd Valley Healthcare’s Health Fair to get their influenza vaccine on Wednesday afternoon. Tarra Geddes says the number is close to the same from last year’s immunization clinic held during the Health Fair. People enjoyed visiting with the various vendors featured at this year’s Well Aware Health Fair. A medical helicopter made an appearance at the annual health event, and the Le Mars Ambulance and Le Mars Fire and Rescue Department were on hand to showcase their emergency vehicles. The health fair also featured a simulated heart attack showing the attendees how emergency personnel handle such a situation, and how the patient’s medical vitals can be electronically transmitted to a hospital.
