Wright And Meis Named Le Mars Homecoming Royalty

(Le Mars) — Le Mars Community High School crowned the 2020 Homecoming King and Queen immediately following the Friday night game. This year the honor of Homecoming King went to Kutter Wright, the son of Ryan and Tifany Wright.
The crowning of the Homecoming Queen was awarded to Caroline Meis, the daughter of Dave and Linda Meis.

Wright is active in hockey, student council, leadership club and the National Honor Society. Wright also participates with the tennis team, and Quiz Bowl. Kutter Wright plans to attend Iowa State University.

Caroline Meis is active in cross country, band, orchestra, and she too, participates in tennis and the Quiz Bowl. Caroline plans to study microbiology at Iowa State University. Congratulations to Kutter Wright and Caroline Meis for being named the Le Mars Community High School 2020 Homecoming King and Queen.

Unfortunately, the Bulldogs came up short with their dreams of having a Homecoming victory as the Storm Lake Tornadoes were able to defeat the Le Mars Bulldogs by the score of 27-6.

The Le Mars Community Homecoming Court was introduced prior to the start of the game.

This year’s Homecoming court included:

Hannah Albert, the daughter of Steve Albert.  Currently, she is involved in dance team, student council, leadership club and plans to participate in speech competition and soccer.  After finishing medical training for the National Guard in San Antonio, Texas, Hannah plans to attend DMACC or Iowa State University to major in the medial field while minor in criminology.

Brayden Schmidt is the son of Steve and Lisa Schmidt.  This year he is on the golf team and is active in student council, leadership club, and National Honor Society.  After high school he plans to go to college to study pharmacy.

Mya Kibby is the daughter of Monica Stratmeier and Steve Stratmeier and Robert Kibby and Tami Kibby.  As a senior, she is active in volleyball, basketball, track, National Honor Society and student council.  After graduation, Mya will go to the Army National Guard training and then attend Iowa State of DMACC for dental hygiene and business.

Briley Pollema is the son of Brandon and Ashley Pollema and Tami Pollema.  As a senior, he is active in football, track, and National Honor Society.  Briley will be heading to Army National Guard training in Georgia and then plan to attend college.

Payton Marienau is the daughter of Jeff and Dena Marienau.  She is involved in student council, leadership club, National Honor Society, and softball.  Payton plans on going to DMACC for the first two years and Iowa State University for the next four years studying business and human resource management.

Carter Arens is the son of Chris Arens and Julie Arens.  He plays football, and will play baseball this coming spring.  Carter will join the military and then go into Natural Resources Law Enforcement.

Morgan Marienau is the daughter of Jeff and Dena Marienau.  Morgan plays volleyball, softball, manages basketball, and is involved in student council, Lead Dog leadership club, and National Honor Society.  Morgan plans on going to college and then running her own business.

Colton Hoag is the son of Chip and Jackie Hoag.  He plays football in the fall, and plans on wrestling during his senior year.  His plans after high school graduation are uncertain right now.

Pyper Steffler is the daughter of Kris and Shannon Steffler.  This year she is involved in National Honor Society, volleyball, leadership and yearbook.  Pypr will attend the College of St. Mary to study nursing.

Jaxon Baumgartner is the son of Adam and Lynn Baumgartner.  He currently plays golf, but plans on playing basketball and tennis as well.  He is unsure of a college, but plans to major in business.

Harper Clarey is the daughter of Casey and Krystle Clarey.  When she grows up, she would like to be a teacher and then work as a lifeguard in the summers.  Harper says the best part of being a Bulldog is having the best teachers ever.
