Pam Arens was named the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce “Boss of the Quarter” Thursday during an open house event Thursday at McCormack Distributing. Here is the nomination, written by Katie Gerloff:
On behalf of the employees of McCormack Distributing we would like to nominate Pam Arens as the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce 1st Quarter Boss of the Quarter.
Pam has been with McCormack Distributing for 43 years. She has been office manager and worked herself up to business partner and president of McCormack Distributing. She genuinely cares about the wellbeing of each and every one of her employees and goes out of the way to make them feel like they are part of her family. She is always available to her employees no matter what needs her attention. She provides thoughtful suggestions, shares personal experiences that relate to the situation, or even just be available to her staff when they need to vent. Pam listens to her employees and allows them to discuss the pros and cons of each situation to arrive at the best outcome for everyone.
She goes out of her way to make work a fun place by stopping just to chat and asking how things are going for each employee. She empowers us to take ownership of our own function within the company and allows us to make decisions and supports the decisions that we make.
For these reasons, we choose to honor Pam Arens with the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce 2024 1st Quarter Boss of the Quarter Award.
