The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has named their 2024 All-State girls soccer teams. Le Mars Community’s Zoe Wittkop was named to the Class 2A All-State team for her efforts on the pitch this season.
Wittkop’s senior season was the best in what has already been a storied career for the future South Dakota State Jackrabbit. Wittkop finished the season fifth in the state in goals with 39, fourth in the state in shots on goal with 134, and ninth in the state in points with 85.
Wittkop ends her career as the program’s record holder in goals in a game (7), goals in a season (39), and goals in a career (71).
The Bulldogs made it to the regional semifinal before losing to Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson. They ended their season with a record of 8-6. Those eight wins this year set a program record for most wins in a season.
