Le Mars Community senior softball player Charli Grosenheider signed her letter of intent on Monday to play softball at Grand View University in Des Moines.
After a visit to the campus and with the team, it was a great connection. Grosenheider says the environment surrounding the program appealed to her.
This signing comes after a junior season where Grosenheider set a couple of records to lead the Bulldogs at the plate. She says that was a great season, and it drew the attention of some college programs.
Softball has always been the sport Grosenheider played. She says her dad got her going initially, and the rest is history.
Grosenheider says she hopes that other softball players see her making the move to college ball and want to follow her to the next level.
There is still one more season for Grosenheider as a Bulldog this coming summer. She has some personal goals that she wants to accomplish that will then lead to team success.
Grand View University plays in the NAIA in the Heart of America Conference. They finished last year with a 33-19 record and a berth in the NAIA National Tournament opening round.
