DeRocher and Hessenius score individual titles for Le Mars girls wrestling at home invite

The Le Mars Community girls finished fifth at their home invite on Friday night scoring 116.5 team points.

It was not where they wanted to finish, and head coach Greer Milledge says there was some things that could have been done better.

The Bulldogs did end up with two champions in Brooklyn DeRocher and Keira Hessenius. They performed well-enough to win the titles, but Coach Milledge says he hopes that does not make them content with some big competitions still to come this season.

The Bulldogs have just two more competition dates before their state qualifying meet on the 31st. Coach Milledge says he wants his girls to continue finding new ways to wrestle well and win matches.

The Bulldogs host Spencer and MOC-Floyd Valley for a double dual on Tuesday at home.
