Plymouth County Producers Honored at Iowa Pork Congress

PORK CONGRESS HONORS PLYMOUTH COUNTY PRODUCERS

Plymouth County Pork Producerrs were honored at the annual Iowa Pork Congress.

Sterling Meyer  was awarded the state Belle Ringer award.  This recognizes women in the pork industry who have gone above and beyond to promote and educate about pork.  Meyer has served on the board for ten years.

Simon Kern received the county Hog Wild award, for his involvement as Treasurer, and participating on committees that planned educational programs and promotional events.  He has served on the board for seven years.

The Plymouth County Pork Producers were recognized as the top county for involvement in their community with the County Involvement Award; and for their oustanding promotional and educational efforts with the County Outreach Award.
