Gehlen Hosts Veterans Day Program

(Le Mars) — “Go make a difference.”  That was the message given by Lynn Ruba as she spoke to the gathering of people attending the Gehlen Catholic Special Veteran’s Day program held this morning.  Ruba was speaking of her daughter, Katelynn, who is presently serving in the United States Navy on board the USS Boxer deployed in the Mediterranean Sea.  Ruba says, her daughter, through an email message describes a typical day at sea.

Ruba says her daughter and other service personnel enjoy receiving letters, postcards, and
email messages which help with morale.  Lynn Ruba then challenged the gathering to “bombard” the ship with letters and email messages.
