All spots one through nine got in on the offensive production whether that was driving in runs or getting on base to score runs. Coach Jacobs-List says that output came from the work the Blackhawks put in during the offseason.
Gehlen Catholic head coach Victoria Smithson says Addison Konz had trouble dealing with the consistency at the plate from Hinton.
In the circle for Hinton, Kayla Sypersma has taken the reins as a freshman and is being asked to do a lot. Coach Jacobs-List says it is important for the Blackhawks to play strong defense behind her, and they did that against Gehlen.
Gehlen Catholic dropped to 2-3 with the loss at home against Hinton. Coach Smithson says her team has some room for improvement over the next few games to try and get back to the win column.
Hinton improved to 4-3 with the win and has won two in a row after a frustrating weekend tournament on Saturday. Coach Jacobs-List says the Blackhawks need to take advantage of opportunities within the week to grow their consistency in all aspects.
