Hinton Girls Golf Wins Battle of Unbeatens Over Akron-Westfield

The Hinton girls golf team defeated Akron-Westfield on Monday night in a battle of unbeatens by one stroke with a score of 197-198.

Going into a matchup between undefeated teams, the Blackhawks knew they needed to have their a-game to stay at the top of the War Eagle Conference. Head coach Joel Small says all of them answered the call and the pressure well.

Ashlyn Kramer medaled for the Blackhawks with a 44, but it was a whole team effort to get this one. Whether it was Brooklyn Geddes’ 47 or Andie Jo Walker’s 52, coach Small was very pleased with everyone having an impact.

To keep this momentum rolling, the Blackhawks need to continue to be their best cheerleaders. Coach Small says the girls have done a good job of keeping positive communication high when out on the course together.

The Blackhawks turn around right away for a home dual with Sioux City East.
