David John Waldschmitt, 65 years old, of Remsen, IA died Friday, March 15, 2013 at his home near Remsen, IA, surrounded by his family. 
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy and Deacon Rick Roder officiating.  Graveside military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 3328 and American Legion Post 220 of Remsen.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen.  Following the burial, a luncheon will be served at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013.  There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.  Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.

Philip Krieg, 93, of Kingsley passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Kingsley United Methodist Church.  Rev. Karen Garrison will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Kingsley Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Johnson – Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley.  The family will be present from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday.

Herman  B.  Oetken, 92, of Le Mars passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Touchstone Living Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, ELCA with Reverend Greg Gabriel officiating.  Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars.  Visitations with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Friday evening at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Richard J. Bohnenkamp, 85 years old, of Remsen, IA died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, IA.
