Joan Evelyn Schroeder, 90 years old, of Remsen, IA, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Mar. 22, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy and Deacon Rick Roder officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 21, 2013.  There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA.  Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.

Wendel Joseph Staab, 61 years old, of Remsen, IA died unexpectedly Monday, March 18, 2013 at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, IA. 
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. Gladys Y. Stuart, 89, of Marcus, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Heartland Care Center in Marcus, Iowa.

Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Rev. Fred Gums of the Le Mars Bible Church will officiate.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home.  The family will be present from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be one hour of visitation at the funeral home prior to the funeral on Friday.

Della  J.  Appel, 93, of Le Mars passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Milford Cemetery, Milford, Iowa with Reverend Ben Worley of Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural Le Mars, Iowa officiating.  Arrangements are with the Carlsen Funeral Home of Le Mars.
