Russell "Russ" M. Andersen, 90, of Paullina passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, Iowa.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Silloam Lutheran Church in Paullina.  Rev. Liz Pfeifle will officiate with burial at the Rest Haven Memory Gardens in Le Mars, Iowa.  Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 with the family present after 3:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

Randy Hillrichs, 56, of rural Akron, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Hawarden Regional Healthcare in Hawarden, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Craig, Iowa.  Reverend Ben Worley will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery near Craig.  Visitation with the family present will be after 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 with a Prayer service at 5:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron.  Visitation will resume from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Monday at the church.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Sally Nitzschke, 89, of Remsen, IA, passed away June 5, 2013 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, IA.
  Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013.  There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m. all at the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA.  Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.

Patricia  Schiff, 59, of rural Akron, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural Le Mars, Iowa with Reverend Ben Worley officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.  Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars followed by a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service.  Visitation will continue Friday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.
