Alice Gates, 85, of Le Mars, formerly of Kingsley passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Society in Le Mars. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with Reverend Jason Larson of the Le Mars United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at the Kingsley Cemetery in Kingsley. Visitation with the family present will be after 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars followed by a 5:00 p.m. Prayer Service Sunday evening at the funeral home. Gordon D. Phipps, 63, of Le Mars passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Oil City , Pennsylvania while visiting family. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars , Iowa . Monsignor R. Mark Duchaine will celebrate Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Saturday. Grabe, 85, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 1, 2010, at the Kingsley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Salem Lutheran Church, rural Correctionville, with Pastor Bert Burwell, A.i.M, officiating. Interment will be in the Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010, at the Johnson-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa.
