Arden Johnson, 91, of Akron, Iowa passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Akron Care Center in Akron, Iowa. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Akron, Iowa. Pastor Dawn Quame will officiate. Private Family Graveside services will be in Riverside Cemetery in Akron, Iowa, with military rites conducted by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron, Iowa. James “Jim” Van Gronigen, 75, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at his home in Le Mars. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at United Methodist Church of Le Mars with Reverend Jason Larson officiating. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 in Nassau Township Cemetery, rural Alton, Iowa with military rites conducted by the Wasmer American Legion Post 241 of Le Mars, Iowa. Visitation with be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010, with the family present after 6:00 p.m., and Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Masonic Service, all at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Merlin A. Ideker, 88, of Le Mars passed away Tuesday October 12, 2010 following a two-year battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton, with Reverend Steven Stoll officiating. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Monica “Dolly” Jauer, 93, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of rural Hinton, Iowa passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Neptune, rural Hinton, Iowa. Reverend Dan Grieving will celebrate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
