James “Jim” Richters, 66, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa formerly of Akron, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his daughter’s home in Sergeant Bluff. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Akron, Iowa. Pastor Mike Avery will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Magnus Hy. (Henry) Goebel, 91 years old, of Granville, IA, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, IA.  Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville with Rev. Richard Ball officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville. Graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3328 and American Legion Post 220 of Remsen.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m., and vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. Blanche Dennler, 88, of Merrill, Iowa passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at Brentwood Good Samaritan Society in Le Mars, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Melbourne United Methodist Church, rural Merrill, Iowa. Reverend Neva Thorn-Perdue will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010, with the family present after 6:00 p.m., and Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Ella Corley, 91, of Le Mars died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Craig, Iowa. Visitations will be after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church followed by a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at the church.
