MONDAY RESULTS – March 18

Dordt College Invitational at Sioux Center (coed)

(Gehlen Catholic girls’ results) Morgan Whitehead won the 55-meter hurdles in a time of :09.49  ..  Katelin Langel was second in a time of :09.53 and Emily Holtgrewe finished fifth in :10.00.  Holtgrewe placed fourth in the 200-meter hurdles in a time of :34.18  .. Jill Kessenich took fifth.  Maddie Wankum was fourth in the shot put at 29’6″ and Megan Livermore placed fifth.  The 4X400 relay team of Jordyn Nilles, Bailey Wiltgen, Morgan Whitehead and Katelin Langel placed fourth in a time of 4:38.82 and the 4X200 team of Jill Kessenich, Morgan Whitehead, Bailey Wiltgen and Emily Holtgrewe finished fifth in 2:02.

(Gehlen Catholic boys’ results) Michael Whitehead won the 200-meter dash in a time of :24.97.  Whitehead took second in the long jump at 18’7 3/4″ and was second in the 55-meter dash in a time of :07.08.  Lorenzo Tomasiello was second in the shot put at 42’3 1/2″ with Joey Mayrose taking third at 41’6 3/4″.  Patrick Livermore was sixth.  Jacob Begnoche was fourth in the 1600-meter run in a time of 5:13.45.  Gehlen took fourth in the 4X200 relay and Dylan Price finished fifth in the long jump at 17’4 1/2″.

SATURDAY RESULTS – March 23

(high school indoor track)

Norm Heeren Invitational at the Dakotadome in Vermillion (coed)

(girls results) Le Mars’ Andrea Urban finished second in the shot put with a toss of 37’4 1/2″.  Kiana Phelps of Kingsley-Pierson/Woodbury Central won the shot put event with a toss of 38’1″.  Bishop Heelan’s Lindsey Joyce took second in the 800-meter run and was third in the 1500.

(boys results) Le Mars placed second in two relay events at the Dakotadome on Saturday.  The Bulldogs were second in the 4X200 relay in a time of 1:34.51.  The runners were Brody Mathey, Gabe Rahn, Chris Hatting and Levi TeBrink.  The 4X400 relay team of Robert Ironshell, Gabe Rahn, Chris Hatting and Levi TeBrink ran a time of 3:36.33 and took second place in that event as well.  Gehlen Catholic’s Michael Whitehead was second in the long jump at 20’8″.  Reece Jackson of Marcus/Meriden-Cleghorn took third in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of :08.72.
